... as a minimal, conceptual artist Antoanetta Marinov questions how to make stories and pictures by means of minimal and reduced actions and gestures. In performative moving images objects of everyday-day-life are combined and used in a way to make video narratives arise; Well known gestures and situation, freed from their linearity, become material of the video composition through the technical devices of the medium. The selection of videos focus on the possibilities offered by the medium video itsself and on formal strategies adopted to construct the moving picture and create narrative moments: how can an idea be made visible/viewable and what happens to the idea getting through the specific medium? Die Berliner Künstlerin Antoanetta Marinov lädt mit ihrem Projekt „Give and Take Art” KünstlerInnen dazu ein, Kunstwerke zu verschenken.
Für Port25 entwickelte sie ein Geschenkregal, das sie an die speziellen Gegebenheiten des Zeigens und Archivierens von Kunstobjekten angepasst hat.
Im Anschluss wird das Regal an weitere Mannheimer Kunstorte wie das zeitraumexit, den Kunstverein Mannheim und die Kunsthalle Mannheim reisen.
Am Eröffnungsabend wird Marinov im Gespräch mit Stefanie Kleinsorge ihr Projekt genauer vorstellen und erläutern.

In Zeiten, in denen unsere Welt immer digitaler wird, ist die direkte Auseinandersetzung mit realen, sinnlich erfahrbaren Dingen ein reizvolles Thema für junge Künstlerinnen und Künstler. Mit sensiblem Blick entdecken sie Qualitäten innerhalb der Welt der Alltagsobjekte, die bei flüchtiger Betrachtung verborgen bleiben. Mit subtilen Eingriffen in die gefundenen Gegenstände oder durch die Verschiebung des Kontexts transformieren die Kunstschaffenden das vermeintlich Banale und schaffen neue, oft humorvolle Bildwelten. Doch wenn sich eine Teetasse selber umrührt, eine Säge sich selbst absägt und aus gewöhnlichen Ästen Zauberstäbe werden, ist dies nicht nur amüsant, sondern sagt auch etwas über unser Verhältnis zu Gegenständen aus.
